cause its a damn good feeling to go fast
sometimes i think that way too…but then i close my eyes and picture myself driving around in some slow POS and i know i wouldn’t be happy. you could take a break and then once you save some money get back into it…there is nothing wrong with that
its all what you make of it…
for some people (i wil focus on college aged people, cause thats where i was and you are now), there is a preference to spend any and all money on going out, getting wasted, and partying. now, for those of us that make an honest buck and dont have any cash flow from the 'rents, as was my case, i make a conscious choice to spend my money on something that would give me lasting good times instead of drinking my good times away. now, dont get me wrong, i enjoy a good party and i like going out once in a while. but, i would much rather spend my money on my car than booze or clothes. its all about building your car for your enjoyment. setting goals for yourself and achieving them is a very satisfying experience.
i mod my car because i enjoy the feeling of going faster. especially when i am going faster because of the work that i did on my own (or under the apprenticeship of experts )
just remember… when you are in school, it much easier to dick around with the whole car hobby. once you get out into the real job world, its tougher. then it becomes even harder with marriage. and virtually impossible with kids.
my thinking (which my girfriend supports): enjoy the hobby while i still have the time to do so. i know i would have regretted selling my gsx. im glad i kept it.
