I would PM tpgsr. He had sold me some lights for my garage and they are awesome along with a great price.
Home depot has cheap flouresents
Do you want T8 or T5, do they need to be able to fire quickly in the cold temps of Buffalo?
Do you want something with a lens or just an industrial strip light?
I have TONS of stock on this crap, and I can get it for you at or below my cost depending on condition.
New = My cost.
Damaged = About 50% below my cost.
its going in the garage, i don’t really know much about lights though… it’s a 2 car with a relatively low ceiling probably 10 foot?
industrial looking is fine if that’s cheaper, damaged is fine as long as the lights work, i’m assuming thats all cosmetic ?
I put two 8’ florescent lights in my two car garage…
Its bright, but still not really enough.
Word. I used these in my garage with excellent results. I have six 4’ ballasts and they had no issues lighting up in the cold. The CFL’s in the ceiling would take about I minute to reach full-light…but the flourescents were within a few seconds. Best part about it is each ballast with bulbs was about $10.
I have LOTS of these guys available. They are a recessed troffer, but you can still hang them from jack chain in a garage. The lens can be removed if you want the lights to shine unobstructed. It is really just there to reduce glare. These ones are MVOLT which is 120/277 V, mine are strictly 120V.

My boss said that he would like $40 each as they are new in box, and my cost is $58.23. Personally I am open to offers on that number too. All fixtures can be inspected for damage which by the looks of them, there isn’t any.
I only spent a minute in the back room, but I have other fixtures that are lingering back there too. Some are more decorative, and some are Metal Halide, High pressure sodium, Flood lights, Wall Packs etc…
^^ I’ve seen his garage. I’ll vouch for how well lit it is in there.
i guess i don’t really know the difference between the two - however the ones you linked me to seem huge, i was picturing something like the small 2 bulb jobbers not really like overhead office lighting? If there’s decent ones at home depot i’ll just stop by and grab some, didn’t really know if there was much difference in lighting stuff or not.
if you catch a sale at Valu, they have 4 foot ones for 7 bucks each. I have a 4 car garage and I have 6 of them but it isnt enuff. I def need alot more
i’ll trade you one child for them
Mine are not like the one’s linked…and are not on in this photo. I wired 3 together in a row, makes it easy to simply plug in each side when I’m ready for some light. Have painted white walls definitely helps distribute the light so depending on your garage you may be wanting more.
