It should, your PC will just run at the 400mhz speed instead of the rated speed the stick has.
The only thing that would make it not work is if your board can’t support that particular model/manufacturer.
It will work. if your board asks for ddr 333, 400, 667, 800… you can put any ddr chip in that physically fits. the mobo clocks it accordingly.
