WTB: s13 240sx driveshaft

i need a non abs s13 driveshaft (5 spd) if anyone has one local or knows of someone who has one please let me know

thanks, Jim

theres one in a junk yard…prolly be a bitch to get out tho

why would it matter if it was abs or non? and even if it was auto or manual they are all the same…unless its a one piece after market. but either way that has nothing to do with the driveshafts. but yeah try the junkyard just make sure you bring a 17 open end and a 19 open end and some jack stands…you will also need 13 socket. but after all that maybe its just worth buying a solid driveshaft from Enjukuracing.

Well actually there is a difference in the automatic and manual driveshafts. Also, if you find a driveshaft in a junk yard please let me know, I need to get the hanger bracket for the driveshaft, some how i lost mine when i swapped my tranny. Good luck with your search.

does the s13 have a 2 peice drivehaft?

i really hate how nissan did that.

buy a one peice, its worth it

does the abs package give you a vlsd too? open diff/vlsd has two different length shafts on the s14. i think its somewhere around a 1-2" difference.
most people seem to interchange them anyways though.

Last i knew…all s13 drive shafts were the same… and if you swap in an sr20det its alittle shorter then its supposet o be but works fine. and yes its a 2 piece driveshaft and having vlsd doesn’t change the driveshaft for the s13’s cause if so then people would be upgraind their driveshafts when they swap the pos vlsd’s the usdm 240s came with.

i think the vlsd’s might be the same between s13’s and s14’s, except for the rear cover. if so, the snout is longer than the open diff version due to the abs sensor. checking the nissan parts catalog, it pulls different numbers for the r200 and r200v shafts, so that sounds about right.

im pretty sure ive seen people run r200 shafts with the vlsd though, so apparently its not an issue.

There is a auto 240 in the local junkyard. i can get any parts off it for a decent price.

the auto/manual driveshafts are most definetly very different, (one of the pieces is a good amount shorter) and the abs driveshaft is also a very slight 1" or so different from the non abs shaft. ive done this all before on my last s13 but i totalled it so here i go again.

i need a driveshaft from a non abs, manual s13/s14

i figured this would be a shot in the dark on here but i would hate to pay for shipping from somewhere else.

also, i dont want to buy a 1 piece driveshaft because the cost to performance ratio is just not there, i could find a better way to spend $400-500
