1987 RX-7 Turbo

What i have is a 1987 GXL with a FULL t2 swap (diff, tranny, engine etc)

the good

  • solid body
  • running engine, runs well too!
  • no smoke
  • S5 turbo
  • full 3" Custom built stainless mandrel bent tig welded exhaust, 18" Vibrant stainless resonator with OBX 3" b10 (N1 style can) (made by Joe at RPM)
  • full emissions delete, all block off’s installed
  • lowered on JIC Magic coilovers w/ front camber plates
  • Enkei 5 spoke wheels with brand new Riken Raptor tires on the front and safetiably continentals on the rear. (some curb rash, perfectly round, no a vibration at 210+)
  • Stock boost, never raised above that.\
  • Walbro 255LPH fuel pump
  • de powered steering rack
  • Koyo aluminum radiator
  • Red ‘JDM’ Tow hooks
  • Dual belt alternator pulley
  • EBC Yellow brake pads for the front (800k)
  • S5 tails, modernized (has a crack on the driver turn lense)
  • black tuner lugs
  • Turbo II hood
  • Silverstar headlights
  • Solid motor mounts (custom made out of steel on a lathe)
  • Windshield isnt cracked
  • doesn’t make any weird bangs or clunks
  • no p/s
  • no a/c
    tinted windows
  • IDLES at 800rpm (weird eh!?)
  • comes with a extra GXL tranny, GXL subframe, basically a whole other interior, tonnes and tonnes of extra parts.

the bad

  • Needs a cooling fan of some sort
  • needs an alignment
  • paint is need of attention, body is pretty good, paint is not.
  • interior needs to be finished (alot of it isnt in there but i have it all)
  • it is just rough around the edges. One day spent with a rotary expert and this would be a model of rx7 awesomeness, im sure of it.
  • one of the coil overs had a seized collar and got damaged during removal, its still on there and works fine just looks kind of nasty.

optional things I have intended for it but not installed are:
Ksport Hydraulic Ebrake (brand new)
Turbo smart Boost Tee (used on my MX-6)
turbo smart Vee-port BOV (used on a 1.8 jetta)
License plates that read JDM TYTE (never registered)
JVC Exad CD/DVD player with Pioneer speakers installed all around, done well (is installed, but if you dont want it we can work something out)

I’m asking $3000 AS-IS OBO for everything that is on the car currently. (so everything that isnt in the optional list, stereo included with the car)

Throw me your offers for trades aswell (no matter what it is). I’m looking for a 91-93 240SX or an S14 240sx w/ 5 bolt.

My name is Louis, call me at 519-854-2566. leave a message if i don’t answer!

dude it that how fast the car really is? what dose it do on the quarter mile?

oh yeah it will go that fast

This car hauls ass. I have a 12 second sr20 s14 and i can pull on it, but not that hard. I’d say high 13’s, low 14’s with a good driver

stock sr20 S13 vs stock turbo II rx7 would be a tight race, is thats what you want to know.

It’ll pull on a 350. So I’d agree with the statement on mid 13’s with a good driver.

I can’t believe none of you ricers commented on his license plate!!!

JDM TYTE

That’s the greatest license plate EVER!

haha, looks like i’ll be transferring it over to my new 240 if all goes well

Thanks for the kind words.

pm’d

has a deal been made?

Tentatively, nothing set in stone as of yet.

you’re up early buddie see you at 1

Up early, AKA hasn’t gone to bed yet. haha.

shh. i am up again!

Sold. Thanks.

not sold.

Buy it, spent 4 hours with a rotary specialist on saturday, running incredibly.

Looking for trades of 91-93 240 coupes in original condition.

I will PM all those previously interested.

On a side note compression test shows 108-112 PSI on the rear rotor and 110-112 PSI on the front rotor.

That’s really good comp numbers dude. Almost perfect. Gaaaawwwdddddammmmm. I’ll see what I can do.

they aren’t bad, I was a little surprised myself.
