DRIFT1 Drift School - May 25th Shannonville

ONIJDM.com in association with CSCS Racing presents DRIFT1 Drift School
May 25th 2008 Shannonville MotorSport Park

Have you ever wanted to try drifting? Do you want to gain valuable skills to improve your drift technique? Here’s your opportunity to learn how to drift in a safe open environment from drift instructors.

DRIFT1’s drift school is open to new and intermediate drifters. Our group of seasoned instructors will guide you

through the basic fundamentals of drifting. The techniques are then combined to show you how to drift on the track.

The day will be comprised of mainly in car instruction using your personal vehicle on a closed course track. You will be in communication of the instructor at all times to give you tips and instruction during the event.

This will be a great opportunity to understand the dynamics of your vehicle in a safe environment. Please note this will be in the open skidpad area; not the track. The Nelson & Fabi tracks will be a separate event on the same day.

same day as bings meet? booo :frowning:

Jon

Mitch just a heads up Bings meet is quite a big event and you should look into thinking about rescheduling this drift school event.

im pretty sure that many people are interested but the conflict of dates might cause a problem

I may hit this up since all teh super pro sondrifters at bings wont be able to see me understeer around nelson.

Thanks! But it was the only date available that fit with the CSCS opening day…

LOL I know how you feel. I would love to make it here learn to drift with the pro’s…Fiddy FTW. Bings meet is HUGE though.

awww i wish i had a s13 =(
i’m assuming you cant drift an aerio lol

well have fun guys lol

I’ve seen a Civic hatch being drifted…

lol that civic is crazy
at first i was like no way
then i saw it and hes actually pretty good

kinda sucks its same time as bings meet …ill try to do both lol im coming for cscs for sure …i dident realise its the same date as bings meet so that IS kinda shitty…maybe theres a way to do both …time will tell

i’ve been to the last 2 yrs of Bing’s meet. It was great. But this year i’ll take track day over the meet.

The sunday is perfect, we will have the Monday as a holiday to rest.

What happens if we don’t want to be taught by these instructors? Can it just be an open practice day? If it is, are the more advanced drivers going to have to be on the track at the same time as the guys learning?

Btw, who will be these instructors?

the instructing is happening on the skidpad, or some open part of shannonville.

so the track is open to be used for all day drifting.

kinda sucks on the date if you can arragnge another drift instruction day later in the season i will definatly come

We’ll see what other days we can get; the guys who want to compete at CSCS will be attending this event to qualify…

for clarification, i trust that drivers who have competed, qualified or even won the CSCS series in year’s past will not have to be at this event in order to compete in CSCS this year right?

i also know some US guys that were thinking of competing this year that will not be willing to travel to shannonville to pre-qualify.

and obviously i cannot make it and i am intending to enter the series as well.

Someones gotta change dates CUZ THIS AINT RIGHT! I was planning on attending both! But having them on the same day means track time comes first…but it’d b great if someone could change days
