Did a little street tuning today and everything went well. I need to tweek it a little after the last run then Im ready to hit the dyno to fine tune and degree the cams. Car runs alot better now! But like I said, I still gotta tweek the fuel between 2560-2700, 3000-4000, and 6000-7000rpm

pretty decent improvement for a beginner useing a SAFC ( its actually pretty damn simple )

Not bad! I was hoping for at least 170hp But im happy.

Got a max of 162whp 129ft-lbs Tq with the intake cam -2 but lost midrange. Both gears are at 0 right now.

How much trq? Your a/f ratio is all over the place on that first dyno sheet.

ya afr’s were a little messy at first. did the best I could with them with some tips from joe. I’ll probably head back at some point when learn more about tuning this thing. Plus that was sniffed, I didnt take out the wideband and put in the dyno’s, and there is still a cat in the exhaust

someone I know pulled 165whp with basically the same setup except crane cams, stock manifold, and stock suspension, did a high high 13 on slicks. full interior.

I know I’ll get some better traction now and less wheelhop with the BC coilovers so I’d be happy with a 14.7 on street tires my first pass.

after more track time and slicks I’d probably be aiming for a low 14.
need to get more weight out. and from the looks of it the car needs more RPM. might invest in an AFX ecu instead of a mopar, AFX doesnt have a rev limit. But I’d be afraid to rev this any higher on stock bottom
I’d like to stay all motor but every day im tempted to put an srt log and turbo on the back of the engine because the car makes the power up top, just needs a little kick at midrange

I think mid to high 13’s on motor from a 1st gen neon with a stock bottom end is pretty impressive.

He didn’t build it for drag specifically, and I don’t drag at all. He’s trying to make it a competent car overall, and with 7 years of development, he hasn’t gotten very far.

FWIW I make more power that he does, and I can’t necessarily use all of what I make. Application makes all the difference in this case.
