low patrol huh

:sHa_rofl:

I started out by getting it in my shop and tearing it apart…
Ripped the upper and lower control arms off and started to mock up the air bag setup …tubular control arms going in etc…

Interesting.

Welcome aboard.

Yes I’m for real…Well the cop that hired me to build it is for real

This is the front back together…still not low enough…Also those are mock up wheels…Its getting custom 1 off 24x10s in the front and 24x12 in the rear

didnt see that comin haha

I notched the front frame so that the TieRod could fit into it (and so i could lay the front crossmember on the ground when fully dumped)
All the work you see is just mock up… I will be edging all the cut metal and reinforcing later on.

You can see the Tie rod clearance better in this shot

Also You can see how much lower its going to sit

The rear requires a ton of work to get it as low…

I had to chop the rear control arm mounting points as well as the upper spring perches to make way for the wheels and the step notch

Welcome fellow air ride buddiez.

That mock up wheel, thats a what, 20? 22? a 25 series 24" dia tire is like 30" dia+… what DIA is that mock up tire in that pic?

What are you doing for the rear? 4 link? Any pics or links to your prior work? I see I have competition next spring:

I’m using a set of cast 22 inch wheels as mock up because I have to cut etc… The final wheels were custom made…

Inside shot of wheel clearance work

Yeah so what size are those moc wheels? becasue if they arnt 30" dia rubberbands on there… GL fitting those 24’s and actually turning the steering wheel!

The mock up wheel is a 22x10
These are the final wheels… 24x12 in the rear with a custom offset 7.5 inches of lip …And the whole rear setup will be custom made by me… I’m building whole new control arms for the rear uppers lowers etc…

I dont compete unless its a hydraulic contest…

BFW’s!!! hope the owner has insurance on the wheels if he thinks he will drive it around the great road conditions we have around here.

Thats a solid rear end back there isnt it?
