Time For a Change Part II

Front windows for sure.Im hopin to do same.Love the all white front!!!

Mine are getting done 8 am at Showroom over in Scotia. 85 plus tax. I love the all white front too. 1st truck I saw on the lot & when I saw it I just said yup you’re mine haha.

LOL WUT? Do your pistons magically move further when vary RPM? :rofl

So my buddy suggested doing molded mud flaps on the truck to help keep it clean. Kind of torn on this idea. Husky makes a nice set but the entire rear you have to drill all the holes. Don’t know how I feel about drilling holes in a brand new truck. Thoughts?

Buy the gm molded flaps if you like them. Your drilling the box no matter what

mudflaps are for grandpas

So are half ton trucks.

I don’t need a one ton diesel to overcompensate for something

Plus rep! :rofl

Little status update on the Silverado. Got it over to showroom to have the front windows tinted to match the rear, took some LED bulbs I had left from the TDI & put them in place of the license plate lights, ordered a set of smoked tail light covers & threw a K&N intake in it. Really like how the truck sounds with the intake, I’ll try to get a video at some point. Also got something to tow behind the truck this summer to have a little fun. Next up Rough Country leveling kit, maybe some wheels.

Please remove the “tinted tails.”

Put the Silverado to good use today. Dragged a uhaul trailer up from Central Ave out to Granville to pick up my latest VW project. Didn’t do a horrible job towing it back, definitely could tell the dub was back there. Getting almost 2 miles better per gallon with the K&N in the truck. Still loving the sound. Went from low 17s to just about 19 so can’t complain. Now that I have the mk3 to mess with, I don’t foresee much more being done to the truck. Probably just the Rough Country leveling kit. Fuel mileage changes are a result of a change in driving habits. An air filter will not change shit because fueling is based on the actual air flow that is measured by the MAF. Unless it has some sort of unknown, physics defying sorcery… Lol

My driving habit has changed at all. If anything I’ve gotten a heavier lead foot.

Haven’t posted anything but the truck lately because all I’ve been doing lately is just driving it. With a majority of my attention stuck on fixing my GLX, I finally decided to treat the Silverado since it’s been good to me. So insert operation chrome sucks. I picked up some plasti dip & sprayed all the lettering on the truck black. Get a little more free time I’m going to spray the grill the same & order some black tow hooks. Other than that just been driving the truck to & from work, took it up to Lake Champlain to my grandparents with the sea doo for my mom’s birthday & been using it to run & get parts for the GLX. Hopefully sometime in the near future I can level it & find a nice set of wheels/tires for it. Few pics:

my buddy has a level kit on his with some nice tires on his factory 20" wheels and it looks great.

Yeah I’m looking at doing the Rough Country 2.5 once my GLX isn’t being a needy whore lol.
