buy my mkIII 95 2.slow

It’s faster I promise.

02 gti, its kinda fast, buy it now, 10,500.

were having auction here???

buy my SS.

What’s the name of the street?

i guess. the last thing id ever buy is a mk3 vw… kid cant handle an alero, i could only imagine what would happen to a nice/fast car

When Troy learns how to mark their roads I’ll be all set.

Whoever asked what street, it was Jacobs and 15th. Jacobs is now marked by a no entry sign halfway up the hill on the right side of the road, wasn’t there when I went through it, or through all of this last year apparently.
And @ what I quoted, idk how I’d handle something faster, the Alero was the only car I’ve ever had.
We’ll see what happens. I’m not in the market for something too expensive, but we’ll see what I can get when the ins. company cuts me the check.

Bummer.

Take this as an opportunity to get a nice daily driver. Be smart with the money insurance gives you.

My advice is to research, find something thats good on gas but has some power to move itself out of it’s own way. Find something that handles fairly decent and not like a boat like the Alero. I’m all for giving people credit for their cars but there was nothing nice about that car. It wasn’t fast, it had a shitty engine, a weak transmission, didn’t handle worth a shit, was worth absolutely nothing, had a godawful shitty GM mid 90’s interior design, and probably didn’t even get very good gas mileage and I can bet had it’s share of problems.

I was looking at those cars way back in the day, i’m sorry but they are terrible cars.

My z would be great for you.

callllm down… go outside and skate or something

Thanks for the advice Chris.
It had its share of problems, and I can admit, it was a boat. It was also my first car, I guess I had fun with it while it lasted. Time to find something decent.

I have to ask… how did it happen? Are you OK, as in not hurt? Sorry for the wreck, even if we talk shit about your ride, which we all do about all our rides… we (I think) all wish you the best of luck with the next car.

Ouch. one reason i hate NY

Thanks for the well wishes.
I personally am OK, as is the other driver. No injuries is always a plus in accidents.

I was driving up Jacob’s St. in Troy, NY, at about 4:45. I am looking for 15th street, so my eyes are on road signs. Stop signs line the road around me. Every offshoot street has a stop sign. I see two roads ahead, one up a hill, and one directly ahead. Having seen stop signs on all previous roads, I proceed through the intersection. In the intersection, I look down and see double yellow lines. I know instantly I’m on 15th Street. I look left, and there’s a car hitting me. She strikes me in the front fender, and I strike her as I spin, sending her off the street.

I get out of my car, leaking oil, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid and anything else you can think of all over the road. Smoke plooms from under my car. I go over to her, to make sure she is ok, and she gets out of the car. We talk, as a bystander calls the police.

The road I came out of was a one way street, I was going in the opposite direction. The officer who arrives first gives me a ticket for going the wrong way, so naturally, only seeing the one way sign at the top of the road where I crashed, I ask to see the DO NOT ENTER sign, since there legally needs to be one, as not every driver knows Troy inside and out. There is none. The officer takes the ticket back, and rips it in half, cursing out his Troy. I lol’d a bit, this was the only funny part of my day.

I am at fault, but if it works out, this may be deemed to be the City of Troy’s fault. A new DO NOT ENTER sign went up a few hours after the accident.

We’ll see what happens with it all.

Pics NAO!

I’d really rather not. Still upsetting for me to look at.

do ittttttttttttttttttt

So 250 trips down the same street and you never noticed all the parked cars were facing in the same (and opposite) direction???

Sorry about the car.

You have a point. First thing I would think when driving down a road like that is “shit, i’m driving down a one way” :rofl

Cars are parked BOTH ways, so that is an issue with using that logic.
If there was ANY hint of the road being a one way, I would have noticed it.
