I’ve had this car for over a year and I barely drive it. I’m selling to put my cobra on the road and use the money towards student loans.
01 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT

Power top works great and so do all the power windows and the power mirrors
Has traction control, cruise, and a 4 disc changer which also all work.
Maintenance done within last 1000 miles:
Fresh Mobil One engine oil and filter 3/17/14
New OEM rear lower rear control arms both sides
New wipers
4 New tires – 225-45R17
New pads and rotors front and rear
Rebuilt passenger side power top motor
New convertible top
New driver side outer tie rod
New floor mats
New OEM evap vent solenoid
New battery
4 wheel alignment from Monroe as of 10/13/13
What it needs
-Most of all it needs the timing belt service done. I have a dayco kit with all necessary idlers, tensioners, gaskets, and a waterpump. Along with new accessory belts, a new front crankshaft seal, two new camshaft seals, and new valve cover gaskets with spark plug tube seals. The valve cover gaskets are leaking pretty good, so all of this work would be the most important
-It could use new struts, the driver rear sqeaks a little when it moves and the ride would be better with new struts all around
-The AC needs to be charged
-I didn’t replace the weatherstripping when I changed the top and they need to be changed as they leak a little
Also there is a dent in the passenger rear quarter panel
Price - $3500 which will include all the parts for the t-belt/wp job
This is the dent on the passenger side rear fender
Thanks guys. As detailed in the tech section the CEL came back on. Haven’t checked it out but it is acting the same way it was when I had to replace the vent solenoid a couple months ago so I’m wondering if the new part was faulty. Figures that an OEM Mitsu part would be haha. I will be looking into it very soon, just been super busy with my wedding coming up in 3 weeks.
Got a call on this today, from a guy that actually bought a good friend’s 240sx that he had 10 years ago back in high school. I’m hoping to take that car and some cash on trade so I can do a giant heater in front of his house with the one car he’s always wanted to get back. I’m a good friend.
My A4 has a misfire so I’ve been driving this for the past week. Put about 500 miles on it since last bump. It is running great, no stalling issues anymore. Just got it aligned on Sunday and it is way better to drive, no longer wants to go in 2 different directions over bumps.
Got 24 mpg on the last tank of gas, and 23 mpg on the 2 tanks before that. I will either be trading this in on something siq, or tucking it away in the garage for winter soon. I’d be willing to cut a deal if someone wanted it soon.
Just cracked 149k. Either taking it off the road next week unless I can work a deal out to trade this in on something. Someone would get the best deal on this right now.
It’s really not that bad, I haven’t noticed losing any on the dip stick between changes. You could drive it without worrying about the vgc, just being honest.
Guy offered me a trade of a 95 miata with some nice bits and no rust but the thing used to have a turbo kit and there was plenty of wiring hackery, a shot top, a front end that didn’t line up, and some missing pieces. Test drove it in the rain and it was a blast but more of a project than I am looking for.
Find me a buyer for at least $3k and I’ll throw someone a finder’s fee.
