Mike I’d focus on your launch for a while and then come back to the reaction time. You can’t practice proper launching when you’re worried about nailing the tree.

No chance without slicks. I have yet to see a 1.5 60’ on street tires in a Subaru without a super crazy setup.
Low 1.6 60 foots are definitely possible though.
The car can definitely trap several miles an hour faster with better shifting, but that will come with time.

They’re actually a lot easier to launch since they don’t make the torque the STi does. My old 2L WRX did 1.63-1.67 on crappy Kumhos many times, but the STi guys have a finer line between wheel hop and bogging.
