First let me say I had never been to a drag strip before.
I went to Lancaster and the people there were very helpful and welcoming.
It was fun trying to get everything right in just a few seconds.
It reminded me of a golf swing strangely enough, not only do you have to do everything right but you must do it with split second timing.
It is interesting to compare slips because with great launches, reactions, or top speeds you can still have a poor run.
I also met some cool spectators and racers that gave advice to the newbie.
Hello Estorvito.
Here is my lowest ET slip…
Reaction — .9140
60 ft — 1.6929
300 ft — 5.0149
ET @ 594 FT – 7.2681
1/8 ET — 7.7728
1/8 MPH — 89.15
My best Reaction was .6669
I also had a .6770 and I hit 90.93 but my time was 8.2349!:gotme:
I looked at the time slips (sort by 1/8 ET)and there are only two of us in the top ten that don’t have:tspry: nitrous and I only have 1.997 litres of fury.
One day at the strip and I’m already smack talkin’.
Damn, that’s some good times.my 04 vette with intake and exhaust got me a best 8.57 my first and only time.HAven’t taken the 06 there yet but I had better watchout for them evo’s I guess.
those are real good times. congrats. My civic only went 8.0 w/a 1.85 60ft all motor. My times were always better at lancaster then at nyi. So i think that might be personal preferance over facts. Looks like low12’s high 11’s if you rcar doesnt die top end.
The 1/4 might be not quite as good because fifth gear is sooooo long.
If I could keep it fourth it would be good but I might be bouncing off the rev limiter.:eekdance:
