I have taken that way but not in a while. My usual path is Rt 4 to 149 to 87, getting on at 20 unless Lake George summer traffic is heavy then I do 9L to 19. Fastest travel time is exit 20 or 19 at night on the way back. I’ve taken exit 19 and met the same semi truck or vehicle at the 9L/9 intersection a few times proving either one is about the same. My personal record is about 1 hour, 35 minutes from Schenectady. My friend did 45 minutes from Saratoga starting at 4am on a Sunday morning. No traffic is key.
