Edit: Forward of the rear axle IS mid-engine. The Porsche’s engine is forward of the rear axle.

the point i am trying to lightly make to you is anything not FORWARD of the rear axles is considered RR. even if the engine is even with the rear axles i think it is still rear.
i think maybe we are getting each other confused where you are speaking “between the axles” in a longitudinal sense when i read it as left or right…which is why i referenced it being on the top. sorry about that, but the schematic should clear it up anyways
I know what you are saying.
I was thinking the engine was considered mid because they moved it forward which dramatically changed the balance of the car BUT, I guess it is still not forward enough to be considered between the front and rear axle.
its an artical by CNN … you guys should be surprised they even knew that the engine was behind the driver.
