13.4 gigapixel camera

Clear images on your 10 MP camera? This camera is the equivalent of 134 MP!! It is capable of crystal clear images zoomable to 20 miles! Check out the link. I can’t even imagine what kind of memory it would require to store/manipulate an image that size.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t 13.4 gigapixels 13400 megapixels? Not 134.

Either way, it seems extreme by today’s standards - but 10 mp was extreme 5 years ago. Technology has ceased to amaze me.

yep, forgot some zero’s

13400 MP Image

the only reason i could think of for needing this is to make extremely high resolution porn.

I can dig it. Like a damn telescope camera

With a name like Harlem, you can’t go wrong.

the picture is alot of small picture put into one. If you zoom all the way out you can see it in the sky how it looks like its choppy that’s actually a single frame. Anyone with time can produce this picture.

It was taken with a Nikon D2x. Each picture it takes is 12mp.

It says on the site "the rendering was done using a 64-bit Linux version of the software. We set up special hardware to do the redering: dual xeon quad-core with processor with 8GB memory and 2 high-speed 150 GB HDD. It took 46hrs to render this 13 gigapixel pano.
