NEWARK, Ohio — Central Ohio authorities have filed felony charges against a 15-year-old girl accused of taking nude cell phone photos of herself and sending them to high school classmates.
Police say the Newark Licking Valley student was arrested Friday and held over the weekend. On Monday, she entered denials to juvenile charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and possession of criminal tools.
A spokeswoman for the Ohio attorney general’s office says an adult convicted of the child pornography charge would have to register as a sexual offender, but a judge would have flexibility on the matter with a convicted juvenile.
A prosecutor says Licking County authorities also considering charges for students who received the photos.
what a load of shit, she didnt take advantage of anyone. she took the pics, she sent the pics. unless she has a split prsonality and one personality forced the other personality into it
can someone be arrested for assault if they punch themself in the face ?
can someone be arrested for grand theft auto if they take their car for a drive ?
how about breaking and entering if you lock your keys in the house and have to kick in the screen door ?
sure in these cases ive quoted you would have to prove your the owner / resident ect, but once its proven you did it to yourself / you own the property it becomes a non-crime
This was always a point that haunted me when I was 16 and searching for porn on the intrawebz.
If I got caught with porn of other 16 year olds on my computer, could I get in serious trouble? I don’t know if that would hold up in court. … but then again, I could just pin it on my parents at that age ahahah.
but the people on the recieving end could get in trouble for unsolicited pics. ESP if they circulated the pics, which SHE sent out herself. Im glad to see this happen. At any point she could turn around, decide she didnt want the world to see them (just half the world) and those kids would have been in deep shit.

Just because a very short and non descriptive article says she sent them to classmates, does not mean she dint send them to anyone who asked or a few, or guys who she knew wanted them.
