1987 200sx s12 hatch back for sale

Ca18det

Nisan 1987 200sx s12 hatch back with rebuilt Ca18det for sale built for track use.

This is a Nissan 1987 200sx Sylvia s12 for sale. I have had this car for two and half years all the while spending many dollars modifying. I’m selling because of lack of space to store the car at my condo and I have two other cars.

The engine is installed but still need to be wired up. Radiator hoses and intercooler piping needs to be installed, power steering and alternator have to be bolted on too. All necessary parts are included.

This car is very close to completion and is ideal for someone who has some mechanical experience and is interested in spending some time on the track this summer.

The engine CA18DET, was completely rebuilt. The block and head were assembled by Gary at Cooksville Auto. Everything from lifters to rod bearings are all high performance replacements. Block was honed, high performance piston rings, crankshaft polished, HKS cams, cometic head gasket, ARP head studs, Intake bathed and cleaned of all carbon… etc. etc.

Other new parts and modifications:

s13 front conversion,
Megan coilovers,
XTD Stage 2 clutch,
Garrett T28 turbo,
Intercooler,
440cc Nissan Skyline injectors,
Nissan Skyline fuel pump,
300zx MAF,
polished aluminum intercooler piping,
silicone radiator hoses,
new water pump & timing belt,
gasket kit was imported from Nissan in Japan,
Infiniti q45 front break conversion,
original rear calipers rebuilt…. The list goes on.

After completion and a good tuning on the dyno, this car should push very close to 300hp if not possibly over.

This car will be leaving Toronto on May 23 to Kingston to be stored at my parents place if it does not sell. If you are interested, please contact now!

Nissan 200SX (S12) with S13 Front
Model Number : MR-CDK-NS1288

By popular demand, Megan Racing Inc. has developed a Coilover Damper Kit for the 1984-1988 Nissan 200SX (S12) chassis. This kit allows full ride height and damper adjustment for both the front and the rear of the vehicle allowing corner balancing and fine tune adjustments to be possible.

For the front, the suspension is from the later 89-98 Nissan 240SX S13 and S14 chassis and will require all the necessary pieces to convert the front, these are not available from Megan Racing Inc.

The rear is a completely innovative design that utilizes a sperate shock and spring combination that allows for independent ride height adjustment and once proper adjustment is achieved, a full 130mm of shock travel is achievable.

The spring rates have been chosen to evenly balance the chassis but is interchangable with springs within a 2kg/mm Tolerance.

Application:
1985-1988 Nissan 200SX w/ S13 Front Suspension

Spring Rates: 8kg Front and 6kg Rear.

-Single-Adjustable Dampers
-Full Ride-Heigh Adjustment
-1-Year Manufacturers Defect Warranty
-Anodized Damper Cylinders for Durability

NOTE: THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH OEM FRONT SUSPENSION!!! YOU MUST DO THE CONVERSION FOR THE S13 FRONT SUSPENSION.

NOTE: ONLY WORK WITH INDEPENDENT REAR SUSPENSION. WILL NOT WORK WITH SOLID AXLE TYPE SUSPENSION!

Pics of Chassis underneath please. Under the hood as well.

Also, any possible way that the motor can be fired up to be heard running before purchase? 5K is alot to spend on a potential basket case.

oh i want this … yet so broke  GLWS

Re Ronnie416,

The car is in good shape. I wouldn’t have done all this work to it if the chassis was crap. The block and head were professionally done so there should be no fear of it being a “potential basket case”. The last owner slapped a turbo on a stock Ca18de and blew it up running 17psi. That engine was scraped and i had a real Ca18det rebuilt with no reservations because i want it to last and be strong.

I’m not 100% interested in selling this car because I have put a lot of work into it. The intention is to build it for drifting. The car looks very stock including the interior which is still all in very good shape. I was intending to add roll cage and LSD in the future.

I’m selling because i have to move it from my condo and moving it is not convenient for me.

I have lowered the price, but have spent a lot more on this car. This car has huge potential with minimal work needed. I suggest to anyone serious about buying this car, to come and take a look at it in person. It will be taken to Kingston on the May 23, next weekend if not sold.

you should sell the side skirts to Osad lol, or at least that one peice in front of the wheel well, buy it dan!

PM’d!!

Are you really going to pass this up?

Ok, Car is in Kingston and no longer up for sale. End of post!
