1991 Nissan Skyline GTS-T Type-M coupe

1991 Nissan Skyline GTS-T Type-M coupe

The following car is currently available through a supplier in Japan - the price is 350,000 yen FOB, which should work out to be around $7,000 landed including estimated costs for shipping, import duty, GST, AC tax and our service fee (excluding registration/inspection costs)

The initial payment should be around $3,500 for the FOB price of the car, plus $1000 for our service fee. Payment for the ocean freight would be due when the car has been shipped - the remaining fees for local port charges, import duty, GST and AC tax will not need to be paid until the car arrives in Canada.

I’m assuming that your landed prices are for the port of Vancouver. How much extra (on average) to ship to Toronto?

By the way, I sent you an instant message as well. Thanks.

Landed prices are in Vancouver including all fees necessary to have the car cleared through Customs … transport to Toronto is around $820 on top of the landed cost.

Thanks for clarifying. I’m guessing they end up at CEF in Brampton (for shipments destined to Toronto)?

To tell the truth I actually don’t know where the depot is in Toronto but I can certainly find out if necessary?

Ill offer J-spec a hand on this one. The drop location is at a CP rail yard in Scarborough. Im sure J-spec can arrange flat-bed door to door delivery for another 50-75.00 CDN. Very cheap transportation to get your car home safe!

Your missing a few things there… The buyer will need to add about :

  • $50 to $100 for Banking fees
  • $80-$120 for a customs broker
  • $200 to $250 for Shipping insurance ( not sure if you buy a policy or not in your prices )
  • $100 to $150 for misc port charges that often come up
  • PST at time of registration

Actually our landed estimates already include Customs broker fees, normal port charges and an allowance for the bank fee payment when you transfer car payment to Japan … shipping insurance is something that you can choose to take however very few people ever do.

We generally over allow a little on our estimates to have the best chance possible of getting the car out of the port without any nasty surprises.

PST rates are different in some provinces, it’s not payable until the car is registered and everyone is aware of it so PST isn’t added to the landed estimate.
