Copied from craigslist with a few additions, that’s why I wrote it for the non-car person crowd.
Selling my svx, bought it from a member here last winter. This thing is a tank. The body is hammered so you don’t have to worry about keeping it clean, saving you time. The engine drips oil from the valve covers about a quart every 1,000 miles, which assures there’s always somewhat fresh oil in it. The steering wheel vibrates about 65mph, keeping you from speeding.
Basic rundown:
3.3 v6 engine has 155k on it. Runs great, these motors are tough. Auto tranny shifts fantastic, which is rare for these cars. AWD works great, it kicks in when it senses the front wheels losing grip. The majority of the time it’s a front wheel drive car, saving you mpgs. Interior is fair. It has some seat rips and fading on the suede as well as the steering wheel. Exterior is less than fair. Lots of rust, some dents, some scratches, etc etc.
Standard Features:
Power sunroof
CD Player (doesn’t work)
tape player (works)
digital climate control
a/c (doesn’t work)
power leather seats
tilt/telescoping steering wheel
manual button allows the car to start from a stop in 2nd gear to provide less torque on slippy roads
tachometer
New parts:
Front pads and rotors
Front passenger side caliper
Radiator
o2 sensor
spark plugs
air filter
oil change
All 4 wheels were balanced at Dunn Tire<br>
Needs:
Front passenger axle (it’s been clicking when I make right hand turns for over a year)
Front driver abs sensor (I have it, but the bolt head was stripped so good luck)
Check engine light assessed (I put in a new o2 sensor as that’s what the last CEL was for, but it’s still on, maybe I changed the wrong sensor) The CEL only comes on once the car gets warmed up.
Steering wheel shake assessed (Maybe tie rod end?)
Small exhaust leak after the cat (looks like just a bad gasket)
Oil leaks fixed (both valve covers leak, I’ll include the passenger side gaskets)
Driver sideskirt put back on.
All in all it’s a neat car that needs some attention. I always get people who ask what it is, most say Alfa Romeo. I think they’re retarded, but people notice it anyways. I drive it daily to work when I’m not on my motorcycle so it does run and is on the road. I’m getting a small pickup truck soon so I gotta let this beast go.
