OVERVIEW:
Up for sale is my loaded 1996 BMW 328is which just turned a young 180k miles. Popular color combo of Boston Green metallic paint (just refinished, nice & shiny) with tan leather interior. Get your hands on a super clean and highly sought after E36 body style. NO RUST, she’s from Pennsylvania not NY! 5 speed manual transmission with newer clutch. Powerful 200 horse ready to cruise or go crazy and turbo if you really want to fly. Great fuel economy at 28mpg highway and 18-22mpg city depending on how you push her. Heater/defroster works awesome as do the cozy heated/power front leather seats. She has traction control as part of the cold weather package, just add your own set of snow tires and this will bull it’s way through near anything. Factory alarm and sunroof.
UPDATES:
Has updated wheels (E46 series I believe). Newer clutch. Newer Goodyear ultra performance summer tires (Cost about $800 alone). Newer front struts and rear struts & mounts. Newer brakes (front has cross drilled rotors). Refreshed coolant system with metal impeller and reservoir. 95% of the dash bulbs were replaced and are as bright as new. 2 sets of BMW floor mats (one for winter so you don’t ruin the new ones). I’m probably forgetting some stuff so just come see her.
I’m looking for $4200 but am open to reasonable offers. She IS on the road and I drive her when it’s nice out so mileage may vary slightly. Has a recent inspection sticker for the new owner and is ready to be test driven. Clean title with no liens. There are only 2 minor flaws. The headliner sags and the drivers seat bolster has a hole in the leather. Both are common issues with these cars and are fairly easy repairs. They didn’t bother me enough to do the repairs myself, they don’t effect drive ability. Of course you could do them for a reasonable price if you desired to do so.
Please email me with any questions or to set up a test spin.
Thanks for the compliments and also for spreading the word. 8)
Are they E46 wheels? I don’t even know what they are, but I really liked them compared to typical e36 wheels.
Every set I find has a ton of rash and I just don’t feel like trying to make them look decent again. Never really understood how people can do so much damage to rims. I passed it along for ya.
I have a pair of HID lamps but they are missing the ballast or some component. I don’t know what exactly they need to work but they of course will come with the sale. They are the angel eye style and might look good. I have the stock stereo and 6 disc changer, I’ll throw in the aftermarket adapters to install a new head.
Test drive with this snow would be impossible. The summer tires have 0 traction.
I’m fighting buying snows knowing I am selling her. Does anyone have reasonable snows on wheels for this puppy?
I’m also going to be selling my 2001 Civic EX.
Below is the link showing pics from when I bought it.
No change other than the mileage is now in the 140’s.
I have done the front tierods, front struts and lower control arm bushings.
I’ll make a new thread later tonight or this weekend probably. $4.5k or best offer.
Has the summer tires (2 need to be replaced) and a excellent set of studded winterforce on it now. If not for the Subaru I just bought I’d keep this cause it plows through the snow awesome. Great MPG as well. 8) http://www.nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62500
Civic is going to be test driven Sunday if all goes as planned and no flaking.
I’m buying snows & wheels for the BMW and I’ll adjust the price accordingly once I know what I’m in for. No reason the BMW shouldn’t go now…it’ll be ready for fun in all seasons.
