Lol. I’ll do rolls as well
Haha, I have no problem with the racing, just the term :shift
Not all, I remember seeing some good times for them on a few forums and saw some fast ones at the track. Sadly though a lot of 99-04 GT with bolt ons are close to them.
i know, they had a recall on those bc the gt were beating them lol
99 Cobra had a recall. the HP rating was WAY OFF to what it was actually making at the flywheel. 320 rating, with most unable to make anywhere near that. enter the severely underrated 03-04 Cobra to follow.
no complaints with them being over rated from the factory.
What were the 1999 Cobras making on the dyno before the recall? I would expect a car rated a legit 320 horsepower to dyno 270-280 on a Dynojet, so I’m guessing less than that.
i could have sworn it was the 96-98 brett
but it was the 99 apparently
From my understanding, that’s why there was no 2000 Cobra (other than the Cobra R). They basically wanted to get their shit straight and fix their “oops” during 2000 model year and then come out with a Cobra again in 2001.
I’m not sure what they actually did when they performed the recall, but I think I remember something about the intake. I could be way off, lol.
I give Ford credit for manning up and taking care of the problem the right way, by giving people the power they were supposed to have from the beginning. Didn’t Mazda have a similar problem with the RX8’s? I think they were originally rated like 255 or so, but people started dynoing them and they made shit for power. Mazda ended up changing the horsepower rating to around 238 and then offered to buy back the cars if people didn’t want them.
96-98’s are far from fast in stock form
Can be made fast with the correct modifications (motor swap! :lol). I was going to say I would guess that cobra to be about a 103-104 car. Not surprised the auto/dr camaro took him out of the hole from a dig.
Cobras fucking suck.
