1998 Eclipse GS-T AWD Converted w/ Built 6 Bolt!! HX35 Powered DSM Hotness!

Up for sale is my 1998 Mitsu Eclipse GS-T that has been AWD converted using parts off a 99 GSX. Fully built 6 bolt engine with about 4500 miles on it.

EXTERIOR:

Body is a good condition with factory black paint job.
Some rust on the hatch and It cannot really be seen from the exterior of the car.
There are a few minor scratches, but overall very clean. Freshly buffed and waxed.
The headlights are aftermarket projectors with 5000K HID’s installed.
The side markers are clear and the center tail light is sprayed black.
There is a polyurethane front clip on the front bumper. The rest of the body is stock.
I have POR15’ed the entire underbody of the car and the engine bay.
The shock towers have been replaced and the core support so you do not have to worry about the typical 2g rust there.

INTERIOR:

Black interior trim, nothing has been torn up except the A-pillar which needed to be drilled to put the boost gauge and air/fuel gauge pods.
The seats are '99 Anniversary black leathers. Front and back along with the door cards.
The carpet has a small hole in the rear. About a dime size
Power windows, locks and mirrors.
I had to remove the A/C when the lines broke, and the cruise control.

The previous engine dynoed at 464whp on race gas. The new engine has everything identical but instead wiseco 0.040 overbore forged pistons instead of the previous 0.020 overbore
and upgraded turbo - so it should produce some good numbers.
The current engine was rebuilt completely at a trusted machine shop and has less than 5,000 miles on it,
which are all pretty easy going miles as I haven’t raced the car since.

ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN/ETC:

The car has DSMLink V2 tuning software. The pump gas tune is still in use from the old setup, but will need to be updated with the
new turbo and engine rebuild. You cannot boost the car or run it at high RPMs with this tune.
The engine is a 6-bolt

Tubular manifold
tial wastegate
hks ssqv blow off valve
Holset HX35 turbocharger with fresh rebuild, port & polish and balance, 67mm compressor wheel. Made 464whp at 37psi previously with no
rebuild or modifications

The car made great power with the old setup, but could not grip due to FWD. Best was 12.9 E/T @ 127 mph.
This is why I decided to swap an AWD transmission, transfer case, driveshaft, rear sub-frame and exhaust out of a '99 GSX doing a
full AWD conversion. I’ve also upgraded the front calipers to the GSX dual piston calipers. I haven’t ran it at the track since
the swap. Again, I am extremely curious as to what it would do with the new components and a good tune. Tires are good,
directionals in the front only. Stock chrome 5-spoke rims. The suspension is stock, though everything is pretty new. I haven’t
had any problems with it recently, and I replaced the majority of the front end suspension with factory parts during the AWD swap.

Nothing needs to be replaced currently. The only thing it needs at this point is a dyno tune if you’d like to race it or beat on it
on the highway. The boost is only set at 20psi currently to be safe but could make a lot more power around 38-40 if it was tuned
properly. (Previous tune was for 38psi on 110 octane gas)

The good: everything is pretty much new, and the mileage is not horrible for a DSM. Everything is built on this car except the
transmission and suspension.

The bad: rusty hatch, fuel gauge doesn’t work – but light does, no air conditioning or cruise control - it broke when removed to
have engine bay repainted, needs to be tuned, however the current base tune is fine for driving around.

I also have a front lip for it and if you want it and a rotted awd 1ga Talon donor I’d toss in for free

I have seen this car in person, extremely clean and sounds great, wish I could grab it but I think I’m getting out of the dsm game myself Glws joe!

just curious and offering, when i did my awd swap the gas gauge thing was sort of a pita, but how did you wire it in/did you troubleshoot it a lot?

Previous owner awd swapped it. The gauge doesn’t work only the fuel light does. I’ ll probably dig into it and come up with an answer for you.

This bitch is with Gary being tuned! Also having him replace some things. He’s checking over the car as well.

It’s about time, thought he couldn’t do much with his recent procedure.

:bigtup:Guys, i will say this is a great car. Checked it out today for awhile. It’s been burchified, tuned, and checked over. Pulls really hard and is overall an awesome car!!!

^ Thanks! Seriously make offers. I need a car with more baby room. I’ll entertain any reasonable offer

Bump. Accepting all offers!
