1998 Pontiac Trans Am with 6.0 Automatic

Picked up another toy, so one has to go. It’s on CL:

Also on eBay.

98 TA Convertible with RA hood - not a RA/WS6 car.

It’s a decent car - drive it all over. As the ad states, it does have a small miss when cruising, but don’t feel it during accelerations. It doesn’t throw a code which makes it tough to find given that it’s not an obvious. It’s not like it stumbles or you can notice with it ideling - have to be paying close attention.

Tires have less then 3k miles on them as do the brakes. Just inspected at earlier this summer when I put it on the road after winter. There is almost no rust on the underside and none on the body.

Ever since the 6.0 swap, the RPM and MPH gauges are off. I swapped in all the 98 sensors and the tranny is the original REBUILT tranny. Tranny may have 3k miles on it - rebuilt at the same time I swapped in the 6.0. When I swapped the oil pan and accessories, I looked around in the motor - very clean with no sign of abuse. I put all new sensors in it - oil, crank, cam, 02s, etc.

Bottom line is $4k - people are trying to sell just the 6.0/4L60e drivetrain for $2500. If you really want an LS1, I have a short block I will let go with it for $500. It’s a good motor, was saving it for one of my other cars.
