Purchased the car almost 5 years ago @ 122k miles
Car spent its first 5 years in Kentucky before coming to NY (I am the 3rd owner). Underside is very clean and has been rustproofed with oil coatings yearly before winter during my ownership.

Recent maintenance:
Rear Wheel Bearings @ 159k miles
Denso Iridium Spark Plugs @ 165k miles
KYB Struts and Springs and Moog Problem Solver Swaybar Links (rear @ 172k miles, front @ 186k miles)
Front Brakes, Pads, Calipers, Rotors, and New Rear Brake lines @ 179k miles
New Battery @ 180k miles
New Denso Fuel Injectors @ 184k miles
New Alternator and Serpentine belt @ 197k miles
Fresh Oil Change

Cons:
It does burn some oil (a little over 1 quart every 1k miles). There is currently a CEL code P0171. For me, it was never really worth fixing since the car still runs fine and I shut it off every year to get inspection done.

Current inspection is good until the end of April 2018. This has been incredibly reliable for me and I would not hesitate to keep on driving this. Last year I took this on trips to NYC and Washington, D.C. without a problem and averaged 42MPG! Only reason for sale is I am getting my father’s Matrix. Asking $1800 or best offer. PM if interested. Car is still on the road and will be driven daily until sold.

Do it, continue its legacy! I first picked this up when I was living in Syracuse and made weekly trips to Buffalo for the weekends. The following year I moved back to Buffalo and commuted to Rochester daily for a year. Those two years are where I piled on most of the miles.

Thanks! For 17 years old and 200k, it’s in very good shape. There is some rust coming in behind the rear wheels that has been touched up, but that’s the only area on the body. The rear bumper has some paint peeling from when a truck bumped me at a red light (easily visible in the pics). It’s for sure a 10 footer but cleans up nicely.
