I got into a head on accident with a porsche boxster a couple years ago. I completely totaled the front end of the porsche, and I had one scratch and a dented bumper on my car.

well there isnt a motor there, so maybe thats the reason
yup, boxter is mid-egined. (yay new word)
I never felt very safe in my porsche - it was a 1976 912E (911 body, 356 engine basically)
The front end is all hollow, so if you hit somethin head on its gonna crumple like a tin-can.
I mean its not like a feel that much safer in the tib driving next to hummers and yukons 
These huge SUVs look big enough to roll right over me sometimes, gets me a little nervous. A huge escalade parked behind my 912 once in the parking lot - it was pretty funny, I doubt the driver could even see my car. The highest point of the roof on my car came up to about the middle of the grill of this car!!
