It is time for me to buy a house so I need to sell my toys (my TDI touareg will be up for sale soon too as well as my S4 and then I will be looking for a 9 second LSx car and looking to spend $5k on). The good: The interior and exterior are in outstanding condition, no dents or dings that I can find in the body.
Fantastic power delivery with ultra smooth acceleration, and to back that up it has nearly 400mm brakes in the front and if you need to put your face through the windshield is will do it with no drama at all.
I will be installing new brake pads all around because the brake pad wear light came on so it will have new brakes all around.
Fuel economy is better than I thought it would be for a 4600lb 450hp 12 cylinder. 15-17 city/highway and 20-21 on the highway. I took it out to ohio a couple months ago and averaged 17.6 but i was running 100 most of the time with a few pulls deep into the triple digits. So I can’t complain with that.
The bad:
There are a couple things that don’t work but it they are things that don’t bother me so I don’t plan on fixing them.
There is a motor that will open and close the trunk when you push a button it does not operate so you have to manually open the trunk like every other car in the world, but the soft close DOES work.
the soft close on the driver door does not work. At first this bothered me then I realized that everybody slams doors anyway so what is the point.
It will need one tire to make it through summer and the other three will need to be replaced for winter.
The astonishing:
I ran the car on the dyno to make sure it had all of its factory rated power and it came in at nearly 50hp over the factory rating so it is a healthy engine for sure.
