Whats the story?
put a deposit down on a car down there, they said they would give me $29k for my car if it was what i said it is(which it is). i also had to wait for the title for this car because it hadnt come in the mail yet(which it has now) and they said that was also no problem. they reassured me 100xs times that it was fine. so i drove down there(14hours). i get there and they start to lowball the shit out of me pointing out thins they think arent as good as i said which were meaningless things to say the least, and offer me $26k for the car. basically knowing i came all this way and they have me by the balls. fine whatever fucking retards ill pay the difference because i still really wanted the e55 amg. so we start to do the deal and then the “issue” of the title comes up and they start denying everything and saying i need to stay over until the title comes before i can have the car. which i couldnt do, i tried telling them id fax the title to them and then have it sent and they can keep the title for the amg until they get mine AND ill sign a power of attorney saying i would etc etc. they said no can do, so i told them to fuck off and left
From an outside perspective, it sucks that they cut 3k off of the trading value after seeing the car, but I agree with them not wanting to complete the sale until they had the title for your car. Maybe there is more to the story than in your post there, but dealers can’t trust anyone, no matter how high quality of a car and trade it is, and no matter how comfortable they feel about the transaction.
But, it happens to the best of us! At least the only thing you lost was your time.

You’re like 19 years old. If you tried trading a $30k car into me without a title, I’d tell you to go away too. The issue is that they should’ve told you that from the get go though.
sounds like they had a good plan to profit $10k plus from this deal. they knew they could force your trade down because $29k is too much for trade in to any dealer on this car.
it all would have worked if you had the title. you can probably salvage the deal if you get the title, too much money to be made on their end to walk away.
