2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650R

Up for sale is my 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 650R. Current mileage is 13,287. I purchased this from Hector’s Powersports in May 2010 with 6,574 miles. Clean title in hand.

SOLD

This was the first (and sadly only) bike I’ve owned. I’m selling it because we have a new baby and, plainly, my wife is making me.

I purchased it after I got my M endorsement. I rode the bike mainly as a commuter where I rode it from Silver Creek (home at the time) to Lancaster (work at the time), for my first two riding seasons. My third riding season I stopped riding as often and only rode it twice last year. It’s now collecting dust and needs to go.

The good:
Everything is in good working order and the bike is ready to ride.
Brand new Michelin Pilot 2 rear tire installed in 2012. This tire has less than 200 miles on it.
Oil and filter changes every 3000 miles
Sport handle bars (http://www.motospecialties.com/store.asp?store=ninja650shop&level=Item&type=06-08%20Ninja%20650R&type1=Handlebars&type2=Handlebars&category=Sport%20Bars&ItemNum=sb1blk) installed but will be sold with stock bar as well.
Rear frame sliders
Rear fender eliminator LED kit installed

The bad:
I laid the bike down in July 2010 of my first riding season (2 months after I bought the bike!) so some of the plastic is showing damage - right passenger side upper fairing is partially cracked and scraped, lower fairing is scraped. The bike was thoroughly repaired and looked over by a motorcycle mechanic, I just never bothered to fix the plastic. So as it sits, the only damage is cosmetic. There are no mechanical defects as a result of the fall. Most of the miles on the bike were put on after the fall and during my second riding season.
This bike was a great beginner bike for me and would be great for anyone. It is also just a great sport bike and commuter. It’s incredibly comfortable and the twin’s power curve is fantastic (tuned for good low and mid-range torque). It also returns excellent gas mileage (40-50mpg). But believe me this bike is fast and may be too fast and “too much bike” for some beginner riders, so keep that in mind.

Here is some brief info on the bike if you’re not familiar:

Feel free to ask any questions. I am a motivated seller.
