Anyone else following this?
My brothers roommate from college is still in it on Day 6.
Kind of makes it more interesting to follow.

Listen… I love hold em as much as the next guy, but why the fuck is this still being televised?
Why is hot dog eating on TV?
Obliviously someone wants to watch it and some sponsor wants to pay to have their name associated with it.
The 2009 event is not on TV yet, this is going on currently.
What is the guys name? Is he local from around here?
because watching bad beats, draw outs, and stone cold betting is more entertainnig then probably 98% of the other shit that gets televised now? :gotme: IDK, I don’t follow it at all, but when last years was televised I found myself watching it more often then I’d ever expected. The producers edit together alot of entertaining hands & plays out of ~100 hours of play. :fyi:
Well ill give you that there is a lot of shitty TV now-a-days but I feel the poker “fad” has definitely contributed to that. I swear last year some time I flipped past FOUR channels with poker being shown at the same time.
Ill reiterate, I do LOVE playing hold em but ill take almost anything on the discovery channel or one of the 5445665 other stations people have available these days over it. But thats all ill say about that as this topic is not about “TV poker,” rather just competitive play itself.
My co-worker is sponsored by Full Tilt and placed in a few of the smaller events, he brought me back one of the WSOP chips from one of the tourneys he was in. He had the option to play in the ME but decided not to. He said it was def crazy out there
Wassop!
A friend of mine cashed the past 2 years. Last year i think he finished 56th and cashed about $120,000. It was a lot of fun keeping track. I don’t think he made it past day 2 this year though. Was weird seeing him on espn all the time.
Nope went to Wake Forest with my bro
Craig Boyd
According to his twitter:
3.5m roughly. Avg is 2. About 100 left
WSOP update sucks balls
My bro is flying in tomorrow morning
poker is good tv… at least its better then all the crap on MTV
He is in 11th place coming back from dinner with 101 left
My buddy is one of the beverage directors at the RIO so I’ve gone down there a few times to watch some of the live action and have a few drinks. My god is it boring to watch live. I hope your brothers friend does well.
Well he made it to today, but now in last place so 64 of 64,
but as long as he makes it to 63rd he wil make $108,047
Looks like he got knocked out in 55th.
Making it to Day 7 is not a bad run.
