next time im on the dyno, on the higher boost tunes where i’m using good fuel, i’ll have chuck play with it a little bit. we never got around to fine tuning because first we were having dyno issues (inductive pickup not-so-good on ls1 coil packs, and optical pickup not-so-good on engine with pipes everywhere, LOL), and then i was having voltage issues that was limiting my fuel. so i wasted a ton of money and everyone’s time on the dyno unfortunately.
what dyno? i had similar issues at spina’s with my car “coil on plug” but we always manage to get a tach signal one way or another. Pat doesnt charge dyno time unless your spinnin the rollers and happy with results so how did you end up wasting money? or did you go to another dyno?
he went to innovative
I just wasn’t happy that I never got the chance to
dial in the car because I was chasing issues. It wasn’t a problem with innovative at all. In fact, mike bought an optical pickup the very next day which we used when I went back
What does any of that have to do with your post about 100 vs 93 not being much of a safety improvement? You make a comment about something you have no experience with and then your comeback is talking about how much money you have under the hood? OK lol.
I have ran both 93 and 100. There is huge difference. Try testing it yourself. I am sure people who run 100 here with turbo cars psphinx and turbociv will tell you the same thing. Depending on your goals and motor setup it can be a good solution. Works great in the 500-600 range. I would run something else at 700+ too.
Post pic of your 1000 whp dyno chart.
it’s not even worth arguing with you about this. and arguing about money under the hood? seriously? i would bet my garage built turbo setup and engine cost less than yours cost to have someone else do, but i don’t even want to get into that. and no experience? okay
the only thing i will back peddle on is the fact that i made the comment with my car in the back of my mind, and not the majority of the cars in here.
as far as the dyno chart, so far it’s “only” 860whp on a mustang. at 775whp on the same dyno, it ran the times/trap comparable to guys running 950+whp on similar setups and the same boost throughout the nation. not that this matters, but my point stands. and between boost and the tune, i don’t doubt 1000+whp is reachable on mikes dyno, which puts me on par with guys with similar setups at 1150whp on a dynojet.
OK lets end this before it gets personal… i am getting too old for this shit lol.
Your car is pimp I want to see it run on the street on hi boost.
agreed on the first bit
