Is this truck ever going to see off roading?
Terrain, definitely. It already looks quasi-military, complete the look.
Now you just need a gnarly roll-bar to mount the jerry-cans and your fifty cal from.
That is why I purchased the F250 Super Duty diesel and made it faster.
Sidenote: You can’t even plow with the new F150. double you tee eff?
Not blue. the terrain look right on that truck, although I am a sucker for white cars.
x…
^lol.
I would go blue. Not sure I could rock a white car/truck.
I’m hoping here and there if i can find some decent places around here.
I’ve read a lot about this and from what others have said I think Ford has attempted to fix these issues but I’ve seen no real proof from Ford. I’ve considered not getting a Raptor solely based on this issue alone however I won’t be going in excess of 110 mph through the desert.
Not true. You can get the plow prep package from Ford again in 2013 with the 6.2L motor in the F150. Ford took it off the order package in 2012 because they thought the demand was too low but thy brought it back.
I can’t find my video, but in 2010 at SEMA, they demo’d and gave rides in Raptors. The lines were very long.
Here’s a video I found on Youtube
I think I saw the frame bend on that landing.
Yeah, did they change the electrical assist power steering? That is what I heard the problem was.
Reading a little bit more… a company called Raptor Performance Group http://www.rpgoffroad.com/ has developed a few kits that allow for beating the shit out of the raptor passed Ford’s recommendations.
Yeah the aftermarket has caught up and made suspension and frame reinforcement parts that solved Ford’s oversight with the frame bending. RPG has the lock on it for the most part. Those guys have helped a lot of the Raptor diehards do some crazy stuff on high speed runs and large jumps.
We took a blue flame 2012 in on trade for a 2013 Raptor. They just upgraded by a year. It’s in the showroom (DeLacy). Message me if you have any questions, etc
