2400 to spend what to buy??

a rwd car for a daily in Pittsburgh, where we get snow EVERY year?? not smart

I drove a v6 firebird for several years in pittsburgh and it was fine. Just make sure you put good winter treads on the back.

x2

i drove my s10 in the snow, and with good rear tires and some weight i went pretty damn good … only got stuck once and it was in a drive that was pretty steep

do you think that a v6 camEro is good on gas milage? i can’t imagine it to be???/

300-400 a tank

buy gas for your mom’s car, lol

I can tell you what not to buy, a Dsm it takes 2300 just to keep it going.
I bought a lumina 3.1 a while ago it was ok on gas and was like $1500 and I didnt have any problems

a few canoes and a tricycle

Ok so ive done some research 94 camaro fuel tank is 15.0 gallons

On the basis of a 300 mile range thats 20 mpg

On 400 mile range thats 26 mpg

My Grand Cherokee gets 270 miles on 23.0 gallons
thats 11 mpg

Ill take 20-26 anyday.

Honda for reliability, v6 camaro for your redneck side.

mine is…i get 36 mpg striaight highway and over 20 city…but is also a 5 speed 3.8

A 5 speed 3.8 gets great mileage, better than my 3.1, and it isn’t a Honda. Jump on it.

A 3.8 gas mileage would typically range about 17-18 city and 28-30 highway…I think the city can vary a lot b/c everyone’s “city” driving is different and Pittsburgh has a ton of lights and hills so typically it isnt the best for a v-6

thats on a Grand prix not a camaro totally 2 different cars

i get 20 and 36 straighthiway

me a 2.2 stroker motor with crane #24 cams. thanks

they’ll sound even more loopy than that

or a black dildo so you could go fuck yourself?

Those numbers are about right, maybe even a bit optimisitc. Funny thing, a (stock) LS1 will do the same or better.

BTW, a couple of things:

How long would it take you to save another $600? It’s a small amount of money, but would increase your budget by 25%.

Also, if you are stuck at $2,400 you should be looking on CL for cars listed for $3-4k. Anything listed on there around $3 should sell easily for $2,400. Or if you can increase your budget to $3k look for cars listed for around $3,500-4,500. If you pay anybody their CL asking price you’re getting taken.

If you can save that $600 and shop a little above your actual budget things start looking a lot better:

(obviously nothing ‘fun’ about these cars… but practical and reliable out the ass).
