hey guys i was lookking to do a sr20det swap in september when i get back to school (i am in high school) so i have a shop to do the swap in. im in grade 12 i have a nissan 240sx s13 i was wondering what i need to buy other than the motor tranny and harness, i know i need a BOV and innercooler/ piping but what other small things would i need? i am also doing the swap myself and am aware i need to modify the harness, i have plenty of skill i am in the specialist high skill major and have gone to the ontario skills competition so i know enough about car to do the swap myself. thanks
There are many threads on this but you don’t needa BOV, but i would suggest replacing the clutch and resurfacing the flywheel. Get a walboro 255 fuel pump. You just need to switch some wires around the ecu if you have the SR harness. Clean engine bay before installing motor An often missed step that is much harder with a motor in there lol.
if you dont have a blow off valve where does all the boost go when u let off the throttle and wouldnt you get a shit load of turbo lag?

i guess he meant that you dont -need- a bov in the first step. it will work without it.
dont know how “complete” your swap is, but the SR20DET has already a BOV, but a closed one.
oh, havent started the swap yet, starting in september, just doing some research on what i need, thank you for the info though
