(my project is starting to come along and i thought id post some pics of the progress up to where i am so far. i bought the car last may from a dealship in west va. the car is a 95 base model with a 5 lug swap. it also came with kyb agx’s and tein springs (i will be getting some tein flex’s after its painted). i got into an accident about a month after i had the car (a girl cut in front of me and i hit her and bounced into a tree) this is why i am painting it. onto the pics!
this is when i first bought the car.
accident the car would of been totaled but we didnt go through insurence.
did all the body work myself. i am getting the car sprayed at my friends bodyshop for free. im just doing all the prep work at my house.
all the rust was patched. i cut pieces of quaters off of some junk cars at my dads junk yard and used them for patches. and on the rocker i cut the rot out of the them and cut the rockers off of my s14 front clip and welded them in. so as much of a bondo bucket as it looks like it really isnt that bad.
i also set the sr in to test fit the front bumper cover with the intercooler on and so i could punch the whole out for the piping with a hydrolic hole punch i borrrowed from work.
sr back out and now its time to do the engine bay.
ew
i also cut out the battery trey and welded a piece of sheet metal i cut for it. welded and fiberglassed in
mmmmm fresh paint.
motor almost ready to go in for the final time. i ran all new brake lines down along the x member instead of them going along the top of the firewall for a cleaner look. i have the motor in now and is should be running this weekend hopefully. ill post up some more recent pics maybe later tonight.
Looks super…hopefully you put it on a frame rack to check it and didnt just cut out the rad. support.
ya it was on a frame rack and checked out ok. i didnt even change the rad support. the steel bumper really saved the car.
woot go s14. I plan on getting an s14 sometime in the future…maybe ill trade one of my s13’s for a decent s14
Looks awesome. I love build threads. Did you powdercoat the valve cover or chrome it?

damn banzer, thats a dope car. im sure ill be seeing you around this summer.
just one pic today my batterys died in my camera. all i got left to do is finish up the wiring, get a new fuel filter and oil filter, run some vac lines and fill it with fluids and she should be running sometime in the next few days.
Looks real nice, what color are you painting it? I am also looking into getting the tein flex, so I would love to hear what you think of them when you get them. How many miles were on the SR?
