I don’t know about a refurbished drive…I’ve been looking for a sata drive around that size though. I looked at office max in blasdell today. All they had on the shelf was the 80 Gb WD and it was marked 60something.

Word,I went to 2 office max’s today and they didnt reduce anything!! They had signs saying “up to 50% off” but it scanned at full price.

This was at transit rd and the union rd store.

That 50% off is a fallacy. Well, around here at least.

Sunday Ads in newspapers are area specific.

Neither Office Max -or- Office Depot have WD on sale. They hardly carry WD as is. This is true for the store on Eggert (OD next to Mighty) and the OM on Maple & Sweet home.

:frowning:

Overall these drives should start getting cheap fast… the 750 gb internal HDD has been out long enough.

these just sold out but I suspect it will come back. I was just about to buy one too.

Ahh, it’s amazing to think that at one point in time that breaking the $10 per MegaByte barrier was amazing, and GigaByte’s were a far off fantasy, and TeraBytes were non-existant. How the times have changed.

ummm, the ad for the store in amherst on maple says WD up to 50% off.

Now whether they carry any or not is a different story.

Linky (look on the last page bottom right): http://officemax.shoplocal.com/officemax/default.aspx?action=entry&pretailerid=-99861&siteid=412&adref=officemax&BV_UseBVCookie=yes&storeID=2420351

Fantastic. Thats incredible. Wonderful.

Now, go to the store (in-person) and find me an 80 gig WD HDD for less then $69.99

Or, even better: Find me any other WD drive bigger then 80 gig in that store.

If they don’t carry it, and it’s an IN-STORE only sale… WTF GOOD DOES THAT DO US?
