Pictures of the mysterious metal piece, the #3 rod bearing, and the crank finish. The finish on the #1 looks a little nicer!
damn!!!
spun
Top half went inside the bottom half.
:eek2:
I was going to say just doesn;t look like normal wear, and then let go, Can the crank be polished out, any major damage there?
my buddy did that to his 95 cobra. It has a 351 windsor in it. Galded the 2 bearings together. He has to buy a new crank now.
I’m just going straight to a new short block.
What are you doing with block you have there, I might be interested
:dunno: Paper weight?
I’m going to have one of Lloyd Elliot’s cams for sale too (the LE1) since I’m going a little bigger. And some 30lb SVO injectors. Only 700 miles on them. Cam looks like new. This upgrade sure isn’t happening in the most cost effective manner!
info on cam? what are the specs
nice!!! GM 847 cam??? or LE3 cam…which makes a little more power than the 847 cam??
Dont just throw it away
I’m going to sell the block. Also have Comp double springs with titanium retainers to go with the cam.
Cam is 224/236 on a 110. Can’t remember the lift. Mid .5’s.
price? i was gonna use the cc306 cam in the truck but this should be pretty close i would think
I paid $350 for the cam. Not sure what they are going for used. I’ll look around on some of the boards.
You have springs already?
I’m kicking myself right now for spending $130 on titanium retainers and not being able to reuse them with the beehive springs. New ones will be steel!
i HAVE A bare block 350 2 piece rear main, 6000, miles can still see the cross hatches, was my Fast burn 385, Broke the Fly wheel, So I rorn it down and parted everything out, let me know!
used cc306’s are about 100-125, there one on ls1tech right now. and no, i don’t have springs yet. i need to get the heads machined for them, so i hadn’t decided which ones yet.
You’d probably be better going with the 306. I’d like to sell you this one cheap but I need to get as much for it as I can to pay for the new stuff. I need to find someone specifically looking for this cam if possible.
i figured that, i did some research and was thinking i wanted the 306 anyway.
