[SIZE=3][COLOR=black]E92 BMW M3s, 1-Series and others destroyed in tipped cargo ship
A tipped cargo ship at port in Jersey City caused serious damage for over 370 BMW North America cars. 70 of which were completely written off. Unfortunately, a majority were apparently E92 M3s. There were some 1-series, 3-series and others among the carnage.
The cars that weren’t totalled will be repaired at the BMW Elizabeth Receiving facility and will be sold as new. Others will be sent to the crusher. The shipping company’s insurance company will allegedly be paying the tab. If you have an M3 on order, you might want to look into whether your car was totalled or not.
At least when it happened to Mazda on the new famous failboat they shreaded all the cars, not the bullshit BMW pulled with fixing the “lightly damaged” ones and selling them as new.
