6 ft x 3 ft, 3/4 inch slate (pool table top NOT TABLE)

GONE AS OF 9/18

I have an old pool table top sitting in my garage that I’ve realized I’m never going to do anything with. It was from a 6 foot bar table. Still has the green felt on it even.

THIS IS JUST THE SLATE, NOT A POOL TABLE
AKA, no bumpers, no table frame, no nothing. Just a 6 foot by 3 foot by 3/4" chunk of perfectly smooth rock. How I ended up with just the top is a long story.

Come get it, I’m not delivering. If no one wants it I’ll pull the felt, break it up and haul it over to the Amherst highway department dump.

My dad made an outdoor bar out of an old slate table top. Maybe someone could repurpose it

Exactly. Come on people, someone wants this. It’s FREE!

Nobody huh?

So it comes down to do I want to deal with the kind of craigslist weirdo’s you get when you list something for free, or do I want to break it up and haul it away myself.

Hmm, this could make a nice bathroom vanity top. Any wagers on what it weighs? Could two of us load it into a pickup?

The old caulk board I had worked wonders as a backsplash, and looked incredible after it was sealed/enhanced:

Two people could load it.

Alright, I’ll take this off of your hands. Are you around tomorrow evening?

Not going to be around tomorrow night until after 8:30. Tonight or Friday would work. Tonight I’ll be gone from like 6:30 to 7 but will be around other than that.

Sounds good. Can you pm me your number? Itll be easier to schedule over the phone.

And GONE! Send me a picture of what you do with it, or the untouched 3x6 piece of rock sitting in your garage 10 years from now.

if it was slightly larger it would have become my kitchen countertops… oh well.

WTF is a “caulkboard”?

A poor attempt at spelling “chalk board,” they used to be 1/4" thick slate.

Will do, now I just need to figure out how to get it back out of my truck! Thanks again, it’ll make a fun project one of these weekends.

You could just leave it in there, would be a great traction helper for the winter.
