600+hp EVO gets lit up by 67 Camaro 427 300 shot

:naughty:

I mean Im sure that they can be made to hook, but I mean you’ll hear those guys running slicks bitch all the time at the track about there not being enough rubber, and not being enough VHT and saying that they just spin all over the place. I’d imagine that cold asphalt with NO rubber and NO VHT would make things really tough. The only real personal experience was the guy with the S/C Roush that I would SMOKE on the street, but he’d rape me by over a second at the track.

have you ever launched a RWD car, with slicks?

my guess is hardly…course he wasn’t there when we were out at quaker and i was bitching about the track being too cold and no prep either and i’m awd…if the best i can cut at keystone in awd on decent tires is 1.75…i’m PRETTY sure that brian on a BAD day with “no traction” would still cut a better 60 than that on slicks

i’m beginning to think that’s either the only car you EVER beat…or the only car you EVER raced…cuz thats all you ever talk about, shit that time u called me you made sure you told me this story and every time racing comes up you mention it.

I liked the vid. From a roll every awd car i’ve ever driven just didn’t feel right. They feel great from a stop but they always seem to fight themselves above 60. I think its retarded to trailer a car to a street race. I guess they were worried about shit breaking.

i dont run slicks!

or maybe getting pulled over by some cops maybe…or maybe its not a great car to drive between redlights???

im beginning to think you need to shut the fuck up and not talk about things you dont know the first thing about. It was a pertinent reference to the converstation. Why would I brag about a race that everyone already knows about with a car that I havent owned for 2 years?

that might be because you suck at driving. and you might want to delete this post since it has abso-fucking-lutely nothing to do with what we are talking about.

have you? on cold pavement, and then the same car on hot rubber and VHT to compare the two? If not, then STFU.

Umm… let’s think about this one.

What kind of tires do I run at the track, and when I street race?

Mickey Thompson ET Streets 26x11.5-16. I have no problems hooking.
The Track I usually get 1.5-1.6 60’s. Which imo is damn good, considering my Independant Rear End.

What was your best 60’ again?

I have no problem ripping most AWD cars out of the hole, on the street or the track, with the proper tires.

RWD + Stickies > AWD

you’re right we weren’t talking about awd vs rwd on unprepped tracks and prepped tracks…

as for me sucking at driving mr 12s dsm 13.7 can’t shift

although i would imagine a good awd car on the same proper tires might be competition

AWD doesn’t mean shit. A rwd car set up for drag racing will have no problem taking on a similar car with AWD.

If some fucknut in a car set up for autox or road racing tries to race a awd car, it will be different

I have no problem ripping most AWD cars out of the hole, on the street or the track, with the proper tires.

RWD + Stickies > AWD

a lot of that has to do with weight transfer…can’t pull the wheels up wiht awd wihtout losing 50% of your power - but again darkstar knows all about awd and rwd

him and his fast ass talon, that was a nice car to a moron fucktard got and beat to hell. see this is why you dont let douchebags have nice cars they just ruin them and why they do actually get one race they brag about it forever adn ever and ever

sure thing there chief. remember, we arent talking about your car or Pewters car, which are making a hell of a lot less than the car in question. getting 450hp to hook is a lot easier than getting 800 to hook.

yeah, it was SUCH a nice car. It was a fairly clean 1G body with a 6 bolt swap, a barely larger than stock turbo, and a homemade intercooler. Nothing special really.
