I was going to get TorqThrust wheels, but they have been beat to death on 1st Gen Camaros. When I thought about which rims to get, I wanted to find a set that made the car stand out from the others. I’m not one much for bling, and originally only wanted to get 16”. But what did I do, I pulled out the wallet and spent the $ on the 18”. After putting them on, the car still was sitting high in the rear and there was too much of a gap. The front end was still dropping after the 2” drop springs.
But after pulling the rear shackles out, rolling it outside,
I do sit and stare at it, because I’m building what I have been wanting to build for the past 15 years. And it’s not done when it hits the road soon. More toys planned for over the winter like 4 wheel disc and possibly replacing the carb with some snky snky instead.
But I’m more content with getting it finished and driving it for the next few months.
Too bad you didn’t get the 66. A future purchase of mine will be a 56 to 72 vette for my wife

Yeah, I would have LOVED to buy the 66. My dad bought it in 76, then sold it to my aunt and it sat for ages in her garage along with the 73 Roadrunner my dad bought brand new. She sent it to Corvettes and Performance in Clearance and it came out AMAZING. EVERYTHING was new, every bushing, every bolt, only thing that was just cleaned and re-used was the interior which was in AMAZING shape suprisingly. My dad was trying to buy it off her and she was going to sell it to him for $12K with the stipulation that if he ever sold it, she got first crack at it. I think since the frame off resto, the car had about 200 miles put on it. WHY WHY could this have not happened a year after it did:tantrum:
Got all the lines ran, finishing off fuel pump tomorrow…
Just got to drop in the distributor, run the plug wires and click the key.
I WANT to have the car ready and safe for less than 2 weeks to drive it out to the Olcott Beach car show on September 1st. Let’s see if it can be done.

Actually had it running for a few more seconds tonight at 9pm
But the oil pressure guage wasn’t working and that’s a necessity. So probably going to work on the wiring on Thursday and tyr to get it set up to fire on Saturday am. Finally not doing it late at night and pissing off half of Kenmore.
