sorry to bring the bad news…that movie just plain sucked
i expected better
eclipse not celica… i recorded the movie on my digital video cam. i’ll be uploading to my computer soon and removing commercials. i didn’t think it was too bad.
yeah what do you expect from a made for TV movie that was made by the same people as fast and the furious. its was ok. you know the car at the end was a total POS. And who cares, it was only a ponticrap. 70 Judge > 69 judge anyway. the 70 has a nicer front end and a 455.
The new GTO lacks in styling but makes up for it in performance, the GTO Club of america was dead wrong booing the car at the unveiling. Sounds to me like they were just a bunch of old men scared of change. That car off the showroom floor is as fast as my 70 Stage 1. Not every car has to be a thing of beauty. The GTO at worst looks like a GP, last time i checked people did complain much about the looks of the GP. The car definetly stands up to the GTO name under the hood thou. Also break down the name GTO- grand tourismo oblongota, that car handles like a real sports car. Say they made the car look retro but gave it some crappy power plant, like the 80’s hurst/442 , would the GTO club still complain…probably. I give the GTO an overall two thumbs up.

now next year they are supose to bring out the chevelle ss…hhhmmmmmmmm i wonder what people are goiing to say about that car
i’m part of the I hate the new gto side. GM could have done something to set the car apart from the rest of the crowd. The GTO was the car that started the whole muscle car craze and now it’s a grand prix with a different drivetrain. Not that the grand prix is bad, but the GTO should stand up to the name and to me it doesn’t
Personally i think the stupid ass manufacturers should come up with new car names and leave the old ones be.
hell it looks like a cavi but has the power and handling of a f-body/vette, should make for an interesting car.
the movie wasn’t as bad as I thought.
the riced out GTO (w/ Motegi rims) was pretty ridiculous, but this movie was no worse than Fast + Furious.
(although I loved when they said the VIN number of the old GTO… I’m 99% sure they rattled off a Honda VIN)

F&F was alright, gotta admit. until every poser copied it
