Yeah there’s a lot of rotaries out there on street tires with 550-600rwhp that run 10.00 and trap close to 138. I dunno what the problem is.
edit: just talked to him. He had really low compression for that run, the week prior he trapped 149mph with a similiar time. The dogbox was just put in and he hasn’t run the 1/4 with it yet. He’s also most of the way through with a new turbo setup (won’t give details), but he’s aiming for 800+ rwhp and to beat the IRS world record for 13b, which is 8.85sec.

Big turbo, big hot side on said turbo, 1.3L of displacement. All of his power is waaaayyyy up top. Nice car though, Ernie has built some rotary monsters.

Yeah he said the seals were sticking, not cracked or chipped just adhering because of heat or something. I’d never heard of it before, but then again I don’t run like 38psi. haha

Yeah me too. I’ll ask him next time he’s around. All I know block wise is his motor is unstudded and he’s running 3mm seals. Not sure if he’s going to tear down the motor for the new turbo setup or what.
