I need to down size on my toys. So I am getting rid of what I don’t ride anymore.
87’ Honda Xr600R
Runs great! All the lights work. Has a digital speedo/trip, decompression still works. The bike basically hauls ass. Asking $1200 obo.
96’ KX250, has a 2000 kx250 enigne in it. The bike ran great last fall, but wont start up. I really haven’t tried to fix it yet. I cleaned the carb out so far thats it. I just repainted the frame, suspension bearings, and replaced the forks for ones off a 98’ 250. It has a Procircuit exhaust, new shifter, ASV clutch lever, recent top end rebuild.
Asking $900 obo.
97’ Kx80, runs great. Many new parts-wiesco crank, rod, bearings, seals, piston, rings, gaskets, plastic…
Also including a 95’ kx80 bigwheel with the bike. The motor has a brand new Hotrod crank/rod in it, but is missing a few parts for it. The rest of the bike is just about complete. I used it as a parts bike, 95-97 are the same bikes.
yo those KX’s are sick bro, love 2 stroke, digin the 80…good luck with the sell :nod bet the powerband in the kx80 is so sick, just rippin that shit all day :lmao
does the KX250 kick over? how much compression is their? It might just need a top end rebuild. I will rebuild it for ya for dirt cheap and get it running if you want to make some more money on a running sale out of the deal.
All the KX’s have been rebuilt within a year or so. I did the kx80 last summer. The 250 kicks over fine with a lot of compression. It will fire a few times but wont actually stay running. It may just be the gas in it. I just haven’t had the time to mess with it yet.
For some reason the 80 has a very snappy powerband. It will get the tire up all the way to 3rd gear with a 200lb rider on it.
sounds like the stator plate/coils need to be cleaned or it could be as simple as the gas…what are you mixing the gas at?? Is it running too rich, then fouling out?
I do 50:1 mix on the bikes. It’s most likly the gas in it. I rode it twice since last spring and haven’t changed it since. I just put a new plug in it and it gets plently of spark. It does seem to flood out quickly when kicking it over though. I have Friday off so I may try new gas and adjusting the carb.
