These are some of my favorite. Some are dumped and some just have a great stance.

Love that last pic^
FML. I want one so bad…
local guy, comes to every meet down here (there was one today at american indoor karting but that shit was early so I skipped).
mkvi vw’s and up are so fucking gay
195s on 9 inch rims are fucking gay
I usually don’t like all black wheels but for reason I love these so much. Anyone know what size lip that is?
This stretched tire fad is so retarded…really points to the intelligence of the owners.
Your lack of information really points to your intelligence. While it’s mostly for looks it is useful from a performance standpoint at times.
MKV GLIs/GTIs don’t have much performance
especially ones that are slammed, with 195s on 18x9inch rims
if they take a turn with any significant speed theyre going to rub all over the place
i dont see any useful performance there
Even if it does give some added performance it still looks completely ridiculous IMO, but to each their own.
the rule is (iirc anyway) in germany you couldn’t have the tread sticking out past the fenders, so the stretch came to power. those rs’s inspire me; my shit is so dusty I don’t want to have to clean my wheels all the time, but I want something baller. may start looking for some rs’s to black when I get sick of my contours. sold my rsII’s monday
My lack of information does point to my intelligence…to not argue technical information in an opinionated picture thread. But if you must.
Performance?? hahaha Surely you jest! Perhaps these would be satisfactory for burnout performance.
So, you’d have no concern about tearing around Watkins Glen with a tire far too narrow for the wheel?? Wow…seeing your posts in the Track section I would have figured you to be more level headed. Oh well…
wouldnt running a mild stretch make the sidewall harder and harder to pull the tire off the bead?
prove its so unsafe…
That mk1 jetta coupe… amazing!
jack thats actually a mk1 derby.
Yep, a mild stretch will significantly stiffen up the sidewall and force the tire to deflect less causing more predictable turn in and cause the car to “set” for the corner quicker. It’s much easier to knock a tire of a bead when it is significantly to large, like when people stuff 275’s onto a 7" wheel to run in a “stock” class.
OMG SO UNSAFE :run:
Damn those pesky ALMS cars and their SLIGHT tire stretch!
Those are the balls.
GTFO with your sense!
