If, as was mentioned in the other thread, you’re looking to partner with a charity or nonprofit, well, that has some advantages. The nonprofit can help you promote, lend credibility (if its a big enough organization) and might garner some news coverage.

If this is to be a co-op with the Shift Members then we need to have some sort of responsible members (with the time) to form some sort of committee in order to start planning and organizing. Vlad and I have spoken recently and have discussed some of the activities we could do that day. We have discussed openly here the time of the day and the day that would be best.
I know Average_jerk, Singh and others are ready to help out. As i belive this is a car community thing I am also open to working with other companies such as Synapse, JVG, Boomer McCloud, Tint King, The WOOD Brothers, etc and so on to be involved. You the members utilize all of our services we should work together to further help that and ourselves.
Maybe we can plan the 2011 A.S.S Phto shoot that day as well 
There is ALOT going on in my world. So we need specifics in planning and a team we all can rely on. I don;t know who you are but this commitment is serious. If you raise your hand the team must be able to count on you.

What are you looking for as far as planning and organization ?
An afternoon would be better than night in my opinion. I don’t really know what I can do to help. Two/three weeks isn’t really enough to plan a big charity event, is it?
Sunday 11-5 or so would be good IMO.
That seems to be the consensus. Sunday afternoon it is.
What are going to be activities? Obviously the show but what else could we have going on to help draw in people? What about food? Have a few members bring grills so we can cook or have a vendor, or what.
Did we decide on a date yet? I know the chill and grill is already scheduled for 5/7 (14)
Well that’s the problem really IMO. If we do it too early, it’ll be small because there will be no time to get the word out and everything. Everyone seems opposed to waiting for after the grill n chill for some reason.
Personally I support waiting until after. That way everyone definitely has their cars sorted out and ready to go, and we have time to maybe get some media coverage before the event and maybe even during to show we’re not all asshats. The bigger it is the more money can be raised/donated.
An important thing we need to figure out, is if we do the fund raiser aspect of it (which IMO we should), which charity would everyone like to donate to?
