the s-10 came wit 8.5 rear in it fuckin chevy .oh yeah and the kid was on it as he passed my truck hard but drew was pullin faster then he backed off when he saw it wasnt goin his way and the headlights dropped a ways

My friend used to race his 400 small block weekly with a 9 bolt Borq Warner rear that was oddball and a slightly stronger rear than the 7.5 ( I think it is a 7.625?) and shredded his spider gears. He was running consistant 12.5’s at 110. He also had a STOCK T-5!!! ROFL. He put a T-56 in it but never ran it with that and also went back to carbed. Quick car though!

The FIRST mods that should EVER be done to 82-02 F-body is a REAL rearend. It’s totally pointless to add more and more power when with stikcy tires and STOCK you can blow it out!! :crackup

I forgot to add that was in a 84 Z28, I have pics somewhere. The 400 went “slightly” better than the original non HO 305, lol.

jdaniels, how much do you know about the 3rd gen F-bodys? I’m helping a friend with his 90 IROC, we put Vortec heads on it with matching Stealth Ram, already had an SLP cam, headers, etc,etc. I am not sure whether he should just get a chip done or what when it is all together. The cam is mild really, old SLP cam that they no longer sell I’d have to look up the specs but it is computer friendly for sure as it ran good with the stock L98.

the vortech heads flow really well compared to old school as obvious so some slight tuning is prolly needed on the chip contact pcmforless.com talk to brian he can burn ya a chip he is really good he did my 93 over the phone and all i had to change was lean it up a bit on the big end ;D
