Sadly, this is how corporate radio works. Decisions are largely made at a regional or national level by managers and consultants who are not totally familiar with the station, personalities or local radio market.
Oddly, I have been both let go as a radio personality like this and have also been the consultant who has made the decision to “clean house” and go off in another direction. Neither one is easy.
