Anybody go to the show tonight? I had to work so I just walked in like I owned the place lol. Got paid to see a killer show. Best of all I got to meet Jerry from the band. He’s a really cool guy..
Now that Layne has died, Jerry IS the band, basically. I’ve heard it’s a good show, I would have liked to catch it.
yeah it was a VERY good performance. to getting paid overtime to watch one of your favorite bands lol. I am surprised that there werent more poeple there though.
alice in chains were never good
what time did the show end"?
cool man, i wouldn’t of minded checking that out
Without Layne Staley I don’t really care. His voice could never be duplicated.
I didn’t go because I saw them in november but it was an amazing show and the singer they have now is amazing sounds just like layne.
i swear to god i came in to this thread thinking it said “aliens in china”

I’ve heard the guy too. While he sounds exactly like Layne in a some notes, he just can’t hit the ones that made his voice so different from anyone elses.

Like it was previously stated…The new singer is not as good as Layne, but he is very good. The show was amazing.

I like them, but there were better grunge bands. As people have said without Layne it just isn’t right. I say Jerry Cantrell (& band) at Darien Lake in 98 and it was the same thing. The music sounded like AIC but without Layne’s voice it just doesn’t have the same effect.

I am pretty sure layne was there in 98 with metallica…he didn’t die until 2002
it was a pretty good show i thought. i thought the new singer sounded quite a bit like layne, obviously not exactly the same, but certainly enough to make it a kick ass show.

The mtv unplugged show in 96 was the last show AIC ever did with Layne
