All about the patents baby

Not sure what you guys were doing, but I’ve been using flickr for years and never had a problem linking highres stuff. The most I usually upload is 3008x2000. Example:

Here’s one from someone else’s account, 4515 x 2949

VBulletin resizes them to fit the page, but if you right click that image and do open in new tab you’ll see it’s Billy Fuccillo huge.

yep, flickr has always been good to me…sans the whole yahoo id integration

Yeah, it sucked the day I had to remember my really old yahoo ID to sign in.

I really like that if I upload a high res shot flickr gives me several version of it to share.

Large

All I have to do is click on the one I want, then right click, copy image location, and can post it where ever I want.

“Yo Bama, you forgot to print the zeroes on this one”

Maybe it’s the personal page you can’t see the link for the full version. Like if I were to go to JayS’s page and try to click on the “original” size for that photo. I never had an issue uploading it at full resolution.

I sign into flickr with my google account. The last Yahoo account I had was to edit stuff in geocities…needless to say I didn’t feel like using that again.

^ Seeing the full rez photo on someone else’s flickr page is a setting each user can select. I don’t block mine but a lot of people don’t allow access to anything over say 1024.

I know when Walker went nuts right after getting his SLR I was able to access his high res shots.

Well then I wasn’t doing something right or missing a setting somewhere.

I think I’m going to give Photobucket a try. I’ve always liked their site. </offtopic>
